hi guys i own a 1999 v plate alfa 146 1.8t.spark , i just want to know what is the diffrence between mine and a 146 ti?? , all so i want to fit all leather to my car what is the best bet , is there any where that fits it or where i can by from etc , thank you guys
TI is Tourismo Internazionale or something like that. Don't know why they didn't just stick the cloverleaf badge on it like the 145 2.0. Probably cos the 146 is the more subtle family car and the 145 is for the hip youngsters.
Tee hee, Tourismo Internazionale Twin Spark.
lol , all i ment was if i were going to put my 1.8 t.spark up against a 2.0 ti what would make the ti faster apart from the 1.8 over the 2.0 , what extra power have they put in to make it the ti , sorry if sound dumb ime only 19...lol
Hi, i've got the ti (debagged so you're not quite sure what it is till ive done ya lol), i think you'll notice the difference 50-100mph when the ti does its thing in 3rd and fourth, she doesnt really kick in till then, a good a road blaster (unless you live in devon and the a roads are still awful).
Its good to have that little bit extra, the corsa boys will blow past you to 40 and think they are it but you eat them alive with a horny growl that makes them feel all small and winpy lol.
Thats the difference lol but hey the 1.8 is a capably beast but if you can get a ti (and they are very cheap at the moment) then go for it.
I'd be interested in the leather option too, i've seen an alfa red one with cream leather interior and it looked amazing...nice and bright inside.
If your looking for some sort of visualisation, then it would only be about 2 car lengths in 600-800 yards (old money talking). I know that as that was what happened last time at Knockhill unless I went round the corners quicker and got a better exit and used slipstream. In that case, my 1.8 16v 155 was just as quick but that's only because I was driving worse! Just one point, I know that the 145QV had a lower final drive but am I right in thinking the 146TI and 155 2.0TS 16v share the same (higher) final drive.
