Those won't solve the problem. They fit over a wider tyre so that it doesn't stick out more than the car.. but they're cosmetic and really only help to comply with vehicle regulations. The wheel arch is still there underneath and it will still foul on the tyre.
If you want pukka wide arches, then you need to get someone to chop out the existing wheel arch and weld in new metal or fibreglass flared arches.. (i.e. make a new wheel arch).
It's much easier to look at the offset of the wheels and tyres. My guess is your wheel offset is way out since with a 195 section tyre, you wouldn't expect any problems (unless they're on 18" rims or something)?
You should be able to fit without problems a 205/40x17 wheel/tyre of 35mm offset.
What size wheel/tyre do you have and what is the offset (the ET.. number)?
Also, if you have wheel spacers, get rid of them so the wheel moves further inboard.
Does the tyre catch just on one side or both? A dodgy trailing arm bearing would allow the wheel to move sideways slightly.. and that might be enough to touch the body too.
No bullets for Chaingun..
