Took the car to the garage with a pair of new rod ends, asked them to change them if needed and fix the toe.
When I picked it up they said the new rod ends were the wrong size first of all.
Secondly there is nothing wrong with the current ones.
Thirdly they did not alter the toe.
Fourthly the bearings are fine.
Fresh out of the garage the car felt fine..no wobbles, no vibration, and no instability!
BUT the steering feels slightly heavier and I asked if the tire pressures were changed and he said no!
I'm all confused now, but at least things are working fine for now!
Snow and ice can cause vibration in the front end and it's common in the winter, but during the time the car was acting the way it was we had plenty of days with temps way above zero, so snow & ice in sensitive places should melt away although water can still be trapped...
A guy I work with believes it's the wires in a tire and temp. changes causing such a thing. Who knows.
