superb stuff, thank you very much mate, a great help.
unfortunately it does mean that my MAF is duff, but there you go.
at idle, it read only 1.2v, barely acceptable
but at 2000rpm = 1.4v
and at 2500rpm = 1.6v
and at 3000rpm = 1.8v
roughly speaking, so although nicely progressive, just very much lower than it should be, so not sure if its even worth trying a bit of contact cleaner or carb spray.
so nowhere near the 3v to 4v it should have had, and it explains where all my fuels going, and the lack lustre bottom end performance!
if i undertand correctly, when MAF signal is poor, the ecu defaults to a fuel rich map to protect the motor, so no wonder its greedy eh?
I know i shouldn't, but at this time of year i'm going to have to buy a cheapie off ebay, rather than sell the children to fund a genuine Bosch, but at least now i can test it the second its fitted, i'll know now wether its any good or not, and return it if it falls short of the readings.
thanks again for the info mate, very very much appreciated.
where did you get it from again, Autodata you say?
was it the specs book or online somewhere?
