Well if there aint much commin out of her theres possibly not much going in..
try fuel filter, air filter/air intake tract.
The 4500 rev point coinciding as to where it normally goes is something to look at, the variator is regulated by a solonoid valve between inlet tracts 1 and 2, theres a electrical conector similar to the ones on the fuel injectors on the top. If you remove the two torx bolts the assemley will come appart. Inside is a spring loaded valve affair that is controlled by the solonoid. If either arnt working or it gets blocked up with crud it can cause lumpy tick overs and other symptoms....
