So far, the AO forum is the Undefeated World Heavyweight Champion of problem solving... but here's the latest challenger:
My '45 is pretty good.. just a lazy rear wiper otherwise everything works...
but there is one teeny bit annoying "fault".
There's a nut or bolt on the loose somewhere inside the dashboard, so every time I turn a corner moderately quickly, I can here it rolling from one side to the other.
It sounds like a small metal nut or bolt or similar.. and it's definitely just moving (I'd guess around 20 or 30 cm judging by how long the noise lasts). It's in the left side of the dashboard by the sound of it and it doesn't move past half way.
I had the black air vent panel off to peer inside but I couldn't see it. I also sent a magnetic probe into the uncharted bowels of the dash'.. but still no joy. Peeked into the holes at the end.. to the door air vents.. but also nothing visible... and under the dash or in the glovebox..
I can't see where the beast can be.. though I've not really dismantled anything other than the air vent.
Does anyone know where's the most likely place it's trapped (need to see the reverse of a dash) and the best way to get in there? I imagine the nut (?) has either fallen out of somewhere.. or was left there during the build.. but nothing feels loose or not working.
