Removed the battery and battery housing/shelf yesterday to bleed the clutch. Clutch seems fine now.
Refitted battery and reconnected it and now the car won't start.
I've had the battery disconnected for hours loads of times before and never had any problems like this.
What might I have disturbed/broken in removing the battery and its housing/shelf?
When I turn the key to 'MAR' the code light comes on along with the injector warning light. The injector light blinks off for a split second then comes on again and stays like this with both lights illuminated. The fuel pump doesn't make its usual noise either.
This seems to me like the a problem with the immobiliser. I've tried all 3 keys including the dark red master key.
Had the RAC out today, couldn't do anything. So far I've checked all fuses are ok, reseated the relays next to the battery, disconnected the battery and disconnected the yellow code box and reconnected battery and code box (as I read in another thread). Still no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I've done to bugger it like this. Next thing to try is a lock smith who deals with cars and immobilisers and then its off to the dreaded dealer unless I figure it out before then.
