Yes, I know what you mean, but what do you expect when the elected mayor who controls the dosh & the local govt. team, is a gay estate agent with no training or experience.....RANT OVER.
The car is now fixed, the reason the aux. belt failed was because the belt tensioner failed. Suggest that if anyone is carrying out work in that area of the engine compartment then it would be a good plan to examin the tensioner. The interesting fact is that my wife drove it back home about 20 miles just on the battery, (she also had the radio on) I suppose that because she did not need the lights or wipers there must have been enough power to provide the spark & operate the indicators & brake lights. The battery also had enough charge to restart the car.
