My interface is based on Any Whittakers one.
There are a couple of issues here:
1) The interface is basically 'amplifying' the signals from the ECU to rs232 (pc com port) levels. It does nothing more - the software controls everything else - timing, etc. I would assume the m2.10.x outputs the same voltage levels as the m1.5.5, but wouldnt know for sure.. .need someone who works for Bosch Automotive!
2) Some interfaces are specific to certain hardware as the program will interface explicitly with the interface. Often the interface will be controlling timing issues.
3) The protocol (software language) used by the ECU - still don't know for sure what this should be, so until then - don't know what software to start looking for....
