I'm just making sure before I do it, cos i can't seem to get hold of the "proper" grease anywhere and i've had a lot of problems with the front caliper sliders. I don't want to knacker the new pins and gaiters as soon as i put them in!
If it's worked on your car for 12 years then it should be alright eh?
I've always used copper grease on brakes - on the back of the pad & the sliders. Clean the sliders with petrol to get all the crud off, and the caliper area where it make contact with the slider - make sure its all free from dirt, then use the tried and tested and proven copper grease!
