Hi guys, a little help required - I've read through the posts that I could find and I think I know the problem but would value your opinions
Car:1999 V Phase II 145 Cloverleaf - 2.0 TS
Driving along, happy as larry, it stalled on a corner. Initially I thought I must have gone around the corner in 5th or something stupid like that, tried to bump start it, no joy.
Turns over on the key absolutely fine. Plenty of fuel/not overheated/recent service
Tried the fuel cut out switch - no joy, phoned breakdown.
Checked the fuel relays, no joy,
squirted magic fuelytype stuff into the air intake, sparks up
No smell of fuel when turning over so 1st thought is the fuel pump
So, get it towed to my local friendly Alfa bloke - He spots the code light on the dashboard
Tried my original maroon key, no joy. The computers say that there is a code fault.
So, looks like the code management unit is on the blink - Anything else to try or failing that how on earth do I go about trying to fix it?
