146 - good buy for general use?
As a satisfied owner of a 156 SW, I'm always interested in other Alfas that come up for sale. Looking around for a replacement - cheap - car for a relative I've got the opportunity of a 2000 metallic green 146 1.8TS that looks to be in good condition, spec includes: clean leather interior, 56,000 miles with previous MOTs as proof, 2 owners, looks prang free, part service history (£900 spent at our friends at Alfatech in Huddersfield 12 months ago including a cambelt change), 4 decent pirelli P6000 (4 tyres the same make at this price!). All in all an honest looking car. They're asking £1200.
Downside..looks to have only one - red - key. Perhaps more significantly I need to convince a non-Alfa owner that's it a 'sensible' buy and good for a few more years.
Am I deluding myself? Advice and tips gratefully received
