Firstly try cleaning the relays under the black covers next to the battery, sometimes if they are loose or the contacts are dirty it can cause starting problems.
It does however sound like your crank sensor is failing. My 145 Cloverleaf gave almost identical symptoms when its sensor failed..
It would occasionally fail to start, seemingly at random intervals, whether it was hot or cold. However once it was running it was fine.
On one occasion it failed to start after my day at work, so the engine was cold. I got a lift home and then in the morning when I went back to the car it started first time...
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
