just bought a 145, what now?

I've just bought a 1998 145 2.0 TS cloverleaf. Its got 45000kms and had a cambelt change at 8000km due to its age and low mileage. Sundry other replacements like water reservoir, new rear brake discs and a new battery. It had a rust problem in drivers side floor pan which was sorted professionally. My question is, what can I do in terms of preventative maintenance to avoid problems in later life and to maximize performance? .

Re: just bought a 145, what now?

I'd treat any rust on the hangers under the plastic wheelarch liners in front of the front wheels.
You might be due a cambelt soon as well.
Also if you treat the floorpan go right round to the back of the floorpan It is prone along the outside edge and at the back of the footwell for the back seat.

Aside from that enjoy your alfa! 145s are cracking cars
