Alfa 145

145 brake servo

anyone know if a 1999 facelift 145 1.6TS servo is different to other versions?
I have 3 - 2 of which, if you look down the big hole where the spring is (t'other side to the pushrod), have a "disc" or flat face.
The third servo has a plunger / rod assembly protruding about half way up the tunnel. Does the plunger detach?
1 of the 3 is the original, which, after having a replacement engine fitted, was deemed as faulty, so the engine was taken back out to replace it. I bought another servo, only to be told it was the wrong type (the mechanic hadn't removed the original, just said it looked different). So I bought another. Now the mechanic has forgotten which of them came out of the car - the one with the plunger or one of those with a "disc" inside.
If I can get this problem sorted, I MAY even get to drive my Alfa this year.

see God, then back off..........
