lol no worries, only had mine for about 6-7 weeks so im still learning
yep its an air flow meter, if you follow up from the air box along the large black air pipe, you cant miss it, its the biggest pipe in the bay, about half way up there will be a junction with some cables coming out of it, thats where the MAF is connected (it may say BOSCH on it too), you will have to unscrew and unplug it to take it out totally. but be careful as they are meat to be fairly delicate. once its out start her up, you will have the red injector light on, but ignore that as thats just because the MAF has been removed. take her for a spin, if the problem has gone then you have found the problem, if not... well then you may have to take it to a garage to have it plugged into a diagnostic unit to find out unless anyone else has any ideas what it could be.
