Sorry AF, I'm not in the Auto trade anymore, though when I was you are correct in saying that you see the same cars over the years and can watch the owner just leting it fall apart through neglect or misinformed maintenance, something I would always try and help against.
Mave, I'll look up those MIL specs, they're not familiar to me, but OX-22 by it's very name O = oil, X = Miscelaneous (Synthetic), 22 = Viscosity, but I think you were thinking of PX-22 when you thought up that one, as that is a white waxoyl type affair to any rigger.
