Trunk/Boot light swith/sensor?

Hi all!

So after nearly 10months of hassle free driving, I noticed the boot wasnt closing properly, or rather the warning panel on the dash showed it was open even though it was closed. As a result I couldnt use my alarm and simply locked it with the key. This was last Mon and all this time i didnt realise the boot light was on, so Sat morning when I was rushing to get somewhere the battery was completely dead! Tried jumping it on numerous occasions and even though she kept swinging she wouldnt start. As I didnt have time to muck about I figured the battery was completely dead and got a new one.

After checking I realised it was the boot light that ran the battery down. I've disconnected it in the interim, but need to figure out where the light sensor/switch is located to check what the problem is so I can use the alarm.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, please???

Re: Trunk/Boot light swith/sensor?

The switch that turns on the boot light and also the "door open" dash indicator is actually incorporated into the boot catch mechanism itself.
