Wave mr talisman

i'm currently building a 146 2lt ti for sprints and hill climbs
its running in the 2lt modified road car catorgory,
so far it's stripped, straight through exhaust, induction, ported throttle body, suspension, and brakes.
i wanted to know if any one could help me with the next steps i want to under take with it,

1. rollcage, is there only the omp cage, are there any others?
2. cams, i was thinking on getting the duration on the current cams lengthened, is it worth it? if so what sould i have them taken too?
3.chip or ecu remaps?
4. front adjustable damper inserts?

i'm on a budget, so billet cams other throttle bodies and mappable ecu's are beyond my founds! any help is much apprieceated!

Re: mr talisman

Your one problem so far is the straight through exhaust, twinnies don't like them, the second spark is there to help burn the unburt stuff from the first combustion and also create the backpressure needed to get the ideal flow through the engine, opening the exhaust loses this backpressure and so makes the mid and high range very underpowered, there are more cages out there but the OMP is the best fit, lengthening the cams is more costly than replacing them so your budget would be lower that way, as for shocks, Konis seem to work best on Alfas, and finally after all your engine mods are done, you should go for the remap, it's the only way.

Re: mr talisman

cheers for advice, is there any mods needed to fit cage,i.e. dash etc.?
also wheres best to get remap, and how much is it?
also the duration increase on current cams is only £175, where can i get new ones for cheaper?
the exhaust has the cat still and a single rear box, would you advise i chuck a mid box in?
