Re: Exhaust needs fitting
Dependinding on which brand pipe they fit, Normally garages are supplied by uniprt or another big brand automotive distributor, and they willnormally stock Bosal, which being the cheapest of cheap and nasties would set them back £60 (trade), it would take them 20minutes tops to fit it so +VAT I would estimate £160 for the cat back system. My local autofactor quoted me £110 for the exact same part your after, so just think, it will be a lot cheaper to DIY it, 1 can wd40, 1 fiting kit and the pipe, plus a set of ramps unless you have some or can borrow some.
The task, undo the 3 bolts or the clamp holding the pie to the cat, spray on some wd40 to the rubber hangers and slip them off. pipe comes away, clean off the face of the cat joint.
Either hang the pipe and fit the 3 bolts loosely with the new gasket or apply some jointing putty to the pipe and slide on the new one supporting the wieght whilst you fit the rubber hangers, align the pipe so it looks nice and sits correctly then tighten the 3 bolts or clamp.
It is just that easy.
