HELP Me save a 145 cloverleaf
I have brought a 1999 145 2.0 and was intending to transplant the engine into my 146. but this 145 is 2 good to part out. this car was imported from japan a few years ago and the owner missed the window to get it complied. So i did a bit of research and found i might be able to get the vehicle complied as a special interest vehicle.
for this special allowance the car must meet 3 out of 4 criteria.
1, the vehicle (or its make, model and submodel) is identified as being a collector’s item in one of the following magazines (or its respective website) – Australian classic car, Car and driver (US), Automobile (US), MOTOR (Australia), Motor trend (US), New Zealand autocar, New Zealand classic car, Road and track (US), Top gear (UK), Top gear NZ, Unique cars (Australia) or WHEELS (Australia)
2, the vehicle’s make and model has been (or was) manufactured in annual volumes of 20,000 units or less
3, the vehicle is, and was manufactured as, a two-door coupe or a convertible
4, the vehicle is, and was manufactured as, a high-performance vehicle.
So what i have found out is Total production of Alfa 145 for 1999 was 24,908.
does any one know or have documentation related to the 2.0 cloverleaf production numbers.
can a 145 be classed as a coupe ?
dose any one have a scanned copy of sales brochure or advert that mentions the history of the cloverleaf model ?
or a copy of one of the articles listed for a 145 cloverleaf ?
any help much appreciated.
