I think as long as the rims you had in mind are no wider than 7" you will have no problem fitting them. Even if you'd decide to lower the car 3,5 to 4 cm's. If you go any lower or wider you should probably have your arches widened a little bit.
I agree with Rich T. My Cloverleaf runs 17's and rubs under a lot of compression or with people in the back. Very rare with two people in, but any more and its does it. Mines now lowered either. Mind you, dont know about 146.

i think this mostly depends on the ET of the wheel you will fit. so be careful. don't know what is original ET but try to find out and buy the wheels with same ET and probably you won't have problems. otherwise with car lowered and 17's you can expect what others told you.....
