The high sitting position is probably the hardest thing to get used to on the 145, but you will, eventually, and then you'll pretty much stop noticing it.
I fitted the Squadra myself, and didn't need the master key.
At an Alfa day someone from Alfa told us that the blue cloverleafs were only meant for selected European markets, not the UK, but some made it over here, which is why they're so rare. Never seen them on Alfa Red though, so wouldn't be surprised to find your's have just faded.
The filter element replacements are a bit expensive compared to induction kits when you add up what you get, but (apart from induction noise), the element is at least as effective, and possibly more so. And yes, it just slots into the current airbox.
I can't remember which make was recommended as being better for low-down torque. Can anyone help on this?
