Load apportioning valve on drum brakes
I'm about to upgrade my 145 from drum brakes on the rear, to disks, and have just purchased a rear axle assembly from a 146 (from Toad). It looks like a big job, having to remove the fuel tank first, then drop the existing axle, but I have a question.
On the existing drum-axle is there a load apportioning valve? I don't want to drop the fuel tank just to find this out... I need to pre-order the brake lines if there isn't as they were cut from the new axle.
If there isn't any valve, does that mean that I have to replace the brake lines from the master cylinder back to the axle? Is this a difficult job? Am I mad?
