Strange Noises from front right of 146TS
Haven't been on the forum for ages, away in America and France so all Automotive projects have been delayed by about two months.
While in France in the 146, I noticed a strange noise coming from the front right wheel arch area while traveling around left hand corners.
The noise is not there on straight roads and right hand turns.
First, I thought it was the Diff going, but there is no vibrations being transmitted through the steering and the car still handles perfectly without any pulling to either side, under hard acceleration or down changing.
When one of the Diff pins decided to go on a 'Walk about' in my HF Delta, it was obvious the Diff had given up, because it through the front of the car from side to side while pulling away from an XR3 Turbo.
I know it's not the CV Joint, as the noise is completely different to past experiences with dodgy CV joints.
Could it be a Wheel bearing or worn Splines on the drive shaft?
The car has only got 63,000 miles on it and is very well maintained as it is my every day transport.
Any Suggestions will be welcome.
