...but with a twist. Whenever I get a new car, freshly serviced or not, I like to change a few bits 'n' bobs like the air filter, cabin filter, plugs etc, etc, just so I know they've been done.
Having seen the cost of the plugs, they can wait. The air filter, however; well that's easy and cheap enough. So, which air filter? Only, unlike most, I'm looking for something that'll provide maximum filtration, and not and extra 0.01bhp at 7000rpm. All these claims of "100000x more airflow" I find un-nerving. If more air gets through, then surely more dirt will as well. Now, as much as power is a good thing, keeping my engine internals free of grit ranks that little bit higher.
So, what's you recommend? Autodeltas own foam filter? An ITG/RamAir foam filter (if they make 'em)? The usual K&N panel filter? Are foam filters crap? Are K&N filters crap? What would you suggest, and why?
