I Know yours is a 96, but is it an "N" like mine or a "P". if so, do you find that when quickly turning from lock to lock you feel a sudden weight form on the steering and then disappear after a split second? the handling feels rather indifferent when really pushing it on mine, and does not give me the confidence to turn sharply around bends, even though i have found the nose beds in very nicely when accelerating round a bend, i think it may have something to do with my wheels/tyres.
Do 17" wheels affect a car much in a bad way (apart from tramlining in the wet!!!)</strong><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Hey Chris, mines a '96 P.
I think I know what you are saying about the steering, but it doesn't happen if I am travelling above 10MpH, so I dont worry about it.
It is like a split second change in the level of assistance from the power steering.
I can pinpoint when it will happen on one of my common journeys and it has always done it, even after I swapped wheels front to back. My wheels (even though they are MOMO's) are the standard size 15" 195/50.
I've got a worrying tale for you all, but I'll take some piccies and start a new thread on that one!
