Welcome to AO!!
145QV - lovely motor!
Where do we start??
Cambelt was officially meant to be done at 72,000 miles or 6 years. This is too long, and many dealers have panicked and said 36,000 miles. In fairness, the 48,000 mile or 4 year service is probably the best compromise, and I am having ours done next week. You can destroy your multi-thousand pound engine if the £17 rubbery belt breaks, so it's just not worth the risk.
When the mechanic is up to his elbows with the inner most workings of your loved one, he might as well change the balancer shaft belt, the tensioners that the belts run on, and also the variator which is a weak point. The reasoning is that if it costs £200 to get into the engine, once he's there, he shoudl do everything, otherwise its £200 every time!!
Also get your plugs done at some time. They are meant to last 60,000 miles, but do drop off before then.
Here are all the bits that I have amassed for the 48,000 mile service, plus the bits I have mentioned above:
This was a specific European model (not sure which country) but some of the badges got stuck onto UK cars in error.
They should be green, as the model is a Quadrifoglio Verde = Fourleaf clover, green!!
You can either buy new ones from your dealer parts desk, or enjoy the Euro touch. If you have some green and some blue, it's possible the bit with the green one has been replaced at some time, as you can not order blue badges in the UK.
