I need some advice. Does anyone have a Phillips Radio/Cassette/CD interchanger? I have problems with mine and the number in the booklet is dead. What's the cheapest way to get it looked at and fixed?

Is there a local auto-electricians you could try? The electrical specialists tend to be a better bet than general car mechanics as they can find and fix the fault quicker so less labour costs.
Of course this is a bit of a generalisation, and assumes that you're lucky enough to find an electrician who knows his ar$e from his elbow.

Be careful, with the good deals going it may be cheaper to buy a new one, which will certainly be better than the OE cr@p.

My local Alfa specialist had a electrician contact who did all their stereo repairs. Fixed the aerial connection on my Sony head unit for 20!

I have been impressed by the quality of the Sony stereo/CD changer in my car ('99 145QV). Did the later cars have better stereos as standard?
