I'm looking to get a 72K service on my '97 145. Alfa garages charge a fortune due to lengthy cam belt change. I've decided to opt for an independent garage as I know s*d all about servicing cars. What should I make sure they do when changing the cam belt? Is it much different from other cars?
thanks, I have only done 33k. I asked an Alfa garage about the variator and they said that unless I can hear any dodgy noises from the engine it shouldn't need changing, especially with such a low mileage? It sounds and runs fine.
