1.6 Boxer camshaft question

My 146 1.6 Boxer is booked in to my local Alfa dealer to have a cam belt service. I do not have much knowledge about this engine, how much more work would it be to change the cams?

I was looking at fitting a pair of fast road cams. Would it be ok to just fit the cams without any other engine mods? I will be changing the exhaust to a performance item soon but thats all.

I think I read that Alfa had done a pretty good job in setting up the profiles for the cams so the money is better spent on a decent air filter and exhaust

As Moggy says the Standard profiles are as good as you can get on the road, Fast road or race cams will mean dialling in loadsa revs to pull away from the lights. This will of course wear your clutch quicker, they seem to be a weak point on the boxer engine's. your money would be better spent on a chip and filter. email shop@alfaowner.com for a price.

If you've already bought the cams and don't fit them I'd be interested in them for my Sprint.
