146 1.6 TS Brake Upgrade

Recently in a Scrapyard close by, I fell upon a crashed 1.8Ts 146.

For no other reason apart from the fact I'm a glutton for punishment, I was thinking of upgrading my car from drums to Disks at the back.

My brakes work very well anyway, but due to our 4 seasons per Day climate, I would be happier with Disks at the back. (Also for the posing value when I get my 16" Speedlines)

Has anyone done this upgrade?

Apart from swapping the Trailing Arms, are there any other obstacles, for example the handbrake cables which will cause me problems.

The job will be easy enough apart from the fact, that my car has no ABS and the scrapper does. Can teh Calipers operate normally with out the ABS sensors in place.

Better Scarper the Boss has just pounced!

you should also replace the front discs, the 1.8 has 284 mm discs (>1.8 they are 254mm)
