146ti Idle Problems

Can anyone help with my 146 ti Idle problem?.
When cold it seems to be ok but not as smooth as I would like.
When warm the idle try's to drop down so low it stalls or it sticks up at 2000rpm.
I've had the car checked at my local alfa dealer but to no avail.
If no fault showed on the computer then they did'nt know how to fix it!!!!.

see my PM about the subject, if the error is in the IA the ECU does not record it as an error. The IA is a little step engine which prevents the instant cut off of the air and gradually closes the inlet air supply (all for a cleaner environment) beause if it closes in an instant ,fuel will get into the combustion chambers without sufficient air and thus giving a rich mixture and unburnt gasses in the environment. This was all thought up by the Americans (California), so the alligations about the US not signing the Kyoto protocol are hypocryt, the US was the first to introduce Cat's
Unleaded fuel safety belts third brake light and a score of other cleaning measures for our beloved motors.

Three point safety belts were invented by Volvo, so surely Swedish, rather than US?

It might have had belts, but bazza is right that 3 point belts was a Volvo thing!
