Hope I'm allowed to post a 'For Sale' here...
My employers, in their infinite wisdom, have announced that we are to move offices. This means that my daily commute in g/f's car to the station (with g/f) followed by a tube journey must now be replaced by a solo commute by car across North London. I am forced to admit that a modified V6 is not the right car for this type of journey and that I need something more......sensible.
Sadly, practical and financial constraints mean that I can not consider keeping the V6 in addition to a smaller car so it has to go. I paid £4250 for it in December so that is the asking price now. I am open to sensible offers.
Details of the car are as follows:
1994 V6, Rosso with grey leather interior, climate control, 62000 miles, MoT to December, tax to end of May. Panasonic stereo and CD changer (new, included subject to selling price).
Engine produces a claimed 240bhp (to be confirmed at Alwyn Kershaws next weekend) with custom cams, ported and polished heads, increased compression (still runs on unleaded but prefers super), custom chipped ECU (standard chip included with car), sports exhaust, Supersprint DTM rear box. Built by BBR in Silverstone.
Koni Sport adjustable dampers with new Eibach springs (Zender springs included with car - approx 20 - 30mm lower than Eibachs, total approx 60mm lower than standard), Zender anti-roll bars front and rear.
Forza (Autodelta) grooved disks with standard callipers and uprated pads.
Zender 7.5x17" wheels with 215/40x17 tyres.
Alloy strut brace (unknown make)
Zender front and rear bumpers and side-skirts. 1995 BTCC-replica stickers (see picture). Silverstone rear spoiler, stainless steel spoiler 'lifts' included with car but not fitted as they obstruct rear vision too much for me.
(it was a dark, wet day!)
Performance is 0-60 in somewhere around 6 seconds (depending on how brutal you are with the clutch) with a claimed top speed of 160mph. Whether the latter is true could only be proved by a trip to Germany but theoretically it would pull that on the current gearing at peak revs.
Sadly my plans for the car will not now come to fruition - hopefully someone else will be able to make better use of it. If you are interested please send a PM or call me on 07970 199159. If I don't answer the phone please leave a message and I'll call back.
