The injector light comes on now and again in my Cloverleaf and it can stay on for minutes at a time. It seems totally random i.e. not just when its raining or the engines cold or whatever and I havent noticed any major differences in performance when it comes on. Also the car will not idle when cold, I have to keep revving it all the time to stop it cutting out-a lot of "heel and toe" at junctions etc. Very frustrating. Will the two problems be linked? I've seen a lot of other people on here have had similair problems, any ideas? Will putting the car on a diagnostic computer find the problem? By the way the cars done 66000 miles and has got brand new spark plugs.
Disconnect the airflow meter and start up, if it struggles to start/run, you know thats working okay, I honestly suspect the Lambda probe, really sounds like it, check to see if the sensor looks newish, if it look old, then get a new one anyhow.
The Lambda sensor is located in the exhaust system near to the CAT!
