Now, your suggestions set me off on a "see the light" expedetion. First I jumped into the luggage compartment while my wife shut the door (didn't think of folding down the rear seat!), no light! Then I thought about jumping into the glove compartment, but gave that up for practical reasons! Instead I took my digital camera, switched off the flash, switched on the timer for automatic exposure, placed it in the glove compartment and quickly shut the lid. The picture revealed no light. This is a trick I gladly let other inquisitive souls in on, i.e. does the light go out when you shut the fridge door and other essential questions in life! I later found out that either there is no light in the glove compartment or the bulb is blown! Finally I located a completely dark and isolated spot to park the car (had to drive 30 miles to find such a place!) for a visual around-the-car inspection, to reveal any light coming out of openings, crevasses, holes, etc.. Nothing!
So I am back to square one! The battery is now fully charged, courtesy of Einhell 148 Battery Life Support System, so now I wander up and down the living room floor peering out the windows every now and then to see if some strange light glows from the car! To deviate from this boring routine I occassinally rush down to the car, throw myself in the seat and turn on my new VDO Daytona music system, which among other incredible facilities, sport a voltmeter. Every time the voltage is around the 13V mark, so no luck here either! I rest my case for now, but thanks starting me off on this hunt for light!
