I can't really be too specific about the 145 but seeing as no-one else has replied here goes! wink
They share the same engine so there are some common problems.
The variator is the main weakness of the twinsparks, it can make the engine start to sound like a diesel anywhere from 30k miles upwards. Cost is about 2-300 quid to sort froma specialist.
Front suspension also seems to be common to both, wandering under braking or knocking from the front could indicate worn suspension bushes.
Injection light problems are hard to trace but often down to the lambda sensor or water coolant temp sensor.
Regular oil changes are a MUST, this is thought to be one of the reasons the variator goes.
Change the cambelt well before the recommended interval of 72k.
Spark plugs are platinum and can be expensive for the eight needed, shop around and avoid main dealer prices.
Make sure you get the master key (dark red) and four digit alarm code, these are vital if you have any immobilisor problems. New ECU needed if not and its not cheap!!!
Can't think of any more at the moment but read through past posts and all will be revealed........don't be put off, they are both cracking cars! Had two 155's and love 'em
