145 boxer 1.6 Any known problems?

Girlfriend is about to buy a 96 145 boxer.
Car and engine very clean and low mileage at 33k. But little service history and vague suspension knock on bumpy roads. Are there any known issues with this model? Seller wants 2975.

Welcome to the forums

Check for vibration from the gearleaver (audible)
And judder from the clutch when it is starting to bite (flywheel balancing)

As with all Alfa's make sure you get three keys, or at least get the brown MASTER key, as this will be needed if anything happens to the ECU.

Thats about it AFAIK

I have such a car & it's as hard as nails.
check for any oil leaks, & make sure oil has been changed regularly. I did have a water pump go but that was my own fault.
Do the knocking sounds appear when the car is stationary & the steering wheel is turned from lock to lock ? if so check that the bushes on the front wishbones are no worn, you have to replace the whole arm, so this can be a good barganing point.

The engine should rev easily without hesitation, check all breather pipe are connected if hesitation occurs.
Any other question plase ask.

2x 145, 4x 75, 4x Sprints,a 156, 146 now a 155

I was told It had been lowered 30mm too, but its more likely 2mm!

Depending on condition, I'd say a FSH is a major point - 2975's not bad though!
