Great Story !!! ofcourse a lot of tears spent, but I have followed the saga with keen interest. Great job to get a hydraulic devastated engine running again...Alfa garages would not go for that kind of work, they dumped a new enigine in.
The part of cleaning the crowns of the pistons does not sound good, I was told long ago that once you do that, the engine will start using oil afterwards, leaf the deposit on !
Keep us informed how things are progressing.
