Sparc plugs and tyre pressures

Just wanted to ask two quick questions about my 145 cloverleaf, which aren't very technical, but this seemed like the best forum.
Firstly, I need new sparc plugs after only 39k miles, alfa say 60k they should be changed. Is there likely to be a cause for this, or is 60k a little optimistic?
Secondly, my car has 16" rims, not the standard 152 ones. Unfortunately the handbook doesn't list tyre pressures for the 162 rims, so does anyone know what they should be?

Any help greatfully received.

If it helps - my 164 Cloverleaf had the same problem. The platignum plugs were meant to last 60k but appeared worn out after 40k.

Thanks, that makes me feel a bit better. I was just a little worried that something else was causing the premature wear. Like a blown head gasket or something nasty like that.
Anyone know the tyre pressure answer? I think I have 225 45 R16's.
