well, I can guess what it is but I didn't know Alfa did turbos! What's it like, are they easy to get hold of? Are they reliable?
I'm trying to persuade my dad to get a 155, maybe he'd be better of with the regular 2.0 or the V6...? Cheers
Alfa do plenty of turbos for the Italian market where tax regs mean that a car below 2000cc is much cheaper to own than one above. Most models have both a 2 litre turbocharged V6 and a 3 litre normally aspirated V6 which give about the same performance...
If the 155 you're thinking of is a Q4 then I believe its actually sitting on Lancia Delta Integrale hardware (engine, running gear etc.)
Especially not as quick as my Q4. If you are interested in looking at one, get yourself down to the Spring Alfa day at Gaydon ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) and you can get a look at mine.
As for the the car itself, it is based on the Lancia Delta Integrale, same transmission torque split as the Evo's, same 2.0l 16v engine and turbo as the Evo II.
But you will be lucky to find one, Alfa only brought 14 narrow body and 2 wide body cars into the UK. There have however been more privately imported since.
They are reliable if they are looked after correctly, not cheap though, and you do need to find a good specialist as A.R. dealers haven't got a clue as to what they are.
Anything else, just ask.
I only moved so my steering wheel would be on the correct side.
