<u>help</u>ive got a misfire around 1200 to 1800 rpm on my 1.8 16v 155 doesnt happen when engine is cold only after it has warmed up cleaned throttle body at weekend and also petentiometer with spray and toothbrush dissconnected battery for a while hoping this would reset ecu and poss rectify but no look any sugestions would be greatly appreciated Fletch [img]smilies/cwm15.gif[/img]

there's a fair chance that it may be the spark plugs.

have you ever changed them? d'ya know when they were last changed... if ever.

Mine need renewal and i get some funny effects, sometimes it splutters/hunts for a minute or so, sometimes it nearly cuts out when you come up to a junction and stop...

plugs are next on my list anyways [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]


Apart from that... check all the electrical connections to and from the coils etc...

My friend with a 155 1.8TS had a similar problem at 40k. He changed the plugs and he said it was like driving a different car. I think Alfa are being a bit optimistic with there 60k spark plug change.

My 2.0TS 146 does this.....feels like either plugs or HT leads. I'm planning to fit a set of (non-platinum) plugs in the next week. 60K is far too long to leave them in no matter what they're made of......

Mine's started doing this now (2.0TS), strangely it started just after I let the fuel run low......

A bit of water in the fuel I think....
