Best tyres I've had so far are Yokohama A539.
I was unsure at first because of the Yoko reputation of being crap in the wet, noisy and uncomfortable, but these tyres have none of those symptoms.
The tyres have great grip in the dry and wet, and are not noisy or uncomfortable. They also seem to last well. I usually get through a set of tyres every 8000miles or so, I've had these for approx 8000 now and have a little sign of wear.
The tyres also give way predictably, they don't break away unpredictably like the Goodyear F1 GS-D2s I had on before.
Tyres I've had before were Goodyear NCT Eagle, Pirelli P6000 and previously were the Goodyear F1-GSD2. Tyre size is 205/40/17 but the Yokos are available in most sizes.
Prices are reasonable too, for 'v' rated tyres in the above size, they were £78 per tyre.
Although the following site is American, it is a good source of tyre information:
Although some tyres aren't available here or have different names.
By the way, if you're wondering how relevant my tyre choice is with my ti, it's been heavily modded.
Good luck with your choice.
