Broken oil pressure gauge

As the subject suggests the oil pressure gauge on my 155 1.8 TS does not work. Is this a common fault and if so how easy is it to repair? If it is difficult/expensive I think I'll live with it being broken!!!

Most likely its the pressure sender sittch beside the oil filter housing. It costs about £20, but it could just be a dodgy connection.

I've got the same problem on my 2.0 8v 155, it's been like it for ages now!!!sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'm quite sure it's the sender, but as the low oil level warning light is on a different circuit to the oil pressure gauge/warning light, as long as both lights aren't on at the same time, it means there is still oil in the engine!
Perhaps i'll fix it one day!
