Getting to the bottom of my last problem.
I am winning the reliability battle on the 145 now, but there is 1 more problem i need to sort. Whenever the engine is running, there is a very strong, sweet smell coming from the exhaust. I don't know how long it has been doing that for but it smells stronger on cold days.
To date it has had:
Crank position sensor
Coolant temp sensor
New spark plugs
Throttle body clean
Several ECU resets
There is no black smoke but it there are a lot of exaust fumes when cold. And it passed the MOT emissions.
is this normal and/or anything to worry about?
Also, i don't know if it is related, but i have a very slight misfire at idle when hot. I don't know what is causing this but it has always been like that dispite all the work.
