ALFA 147 new windscreen wiper system

Hi all Alfa Romeo lovers!

I was wondering where the best place to get a spare part preferably 2nd hand, I need a brand new windscreen wiper system. Apologies fo the lack of technical knowledge the whole thing needs replacing, ideas and help would be much appreciated.

Any breaker with a 147 would be able to source you a new wiper motor (plus linkages) I'd have thought.

Search for "Car Breakers" on Google and you'll get a lot of links .. some of the sites allow you to post what you need and anyone who has one will contact you.

Alternatively look on eBay for "Alfa 147 Breaking" and you'll get a load of people who might have the bits you want.

the wiper assembly is a weak point on 147s, its German. The motor and linkeage are all one part. If the motor is OK and the plastic arm has sheared, it can be repaired, a thread in the 147 section, do a search and it should pop up. The trouble with 2nd hand ones is that they will fracture sooner rather than later, and one seller was selling 10 year old ones for nearly as much as a new one from a specilaist.

Alfa changed to a metal one, if you go 2nd hand make sure you get one of the "new" metal ones.

If u speak to autolusso in uk i know they have 2 in stock atm because im the 1 that fixes them they will last aslong as u have ur car as i repair both ends not just the broken 1 to make sure it doesnt happen again
