Vibration

Any ideas guys? When accelerating slowly in 5th a vibration starts at 60 exactly and then disappears at 62.Accelerating fast to 65 plus gives no vibration at all. Is it wheel balance or something more serious, she's done 54K. Cheers

It depends what kind of vibration it is but it doesn't sound too bad...

Normally wheel balance issues can be felt through the steering wheel and tend to cause a vibration at the same vehicle speed, regardless of engine speed, so... does the car vibrate at the same vehicle speed but at different revs (e.g. coasting, or in another gear)?

If it vibrates at the same vehicle speed regardless of engine speed, it could be the wheel/tyre. If it vibrates at the same engine speed regardless of the vehicle speed, it may be something on the engine.

Front or rear?, maybe rear trailing arm/s bearings ("bushings") are shot, it can cause vibrations at
a certain speed, jack up rear end of the car and grab left wheel two o'clock and eight o'clock/right wheel ten o'clock and four o'clock, push the wheels up and inwards and see if you have any play
(you can often both see and feel the play if there is any).
