145 sump help pls

hi all new here so hope im in right place etc have just bought a 1.6 twin spark 145 drove it to south of france with large trailer on back went like a dream 3 days after i got there hit a raised man hole and cracked sump looked on ebay and found few of 146/147 and every one i spoke to told me there same as 145 now back in uk for a week and looking at the sump ive been sent looks smaller and mines got a section thats not got any cooling vains on it its only the bottom plate that is damaged and thats what ive bought the car is yr 2000 1.6 twinspark is there any one who can confirm if the sumps are all the same [hope so as its so much easyer to find bits here in uk ]and if not what do i need to look for instead many thanks dave

Why don't you get it welded?
Had to do it on mine here after similar incident.
I agree, it does not look as good as new but this is not a beauty contest. Works fine since about 3 years and 20'000 kms.

yes was my 1st thought but belive it or not in france thay seem to think its no possible i wish ide brought it back to uk and got it done realy dont give a flying f--- about the looks im just sick of it i ve been on to alfas today got a realy helpful parts guy [yes there is one at bury st edmunds] and the engine was replaced by alfas in france due to them mucking up a cam belt and writing off the engine so i think this is why im having so much grief the parts guy and me r both thinking as its a later engine there maybe a change in the sumps thats not showing on his system so im trying to get part no off the car that is in france [not as easy as it sounds from uk ] the only good news is the gen part from alfas is only going tobe about £50 so once i know what i need i can get it no trouble or as you suggested git it tiged up over there cheers any way and sorry about the rant im just pulling my hair out just been told car s going tobe towed as a nice french man has reported it hasent moved for 6 days it only gets better

So you don't only have a cracked sump but also a mucked up cam belt..?
New engine is what model year?

Why did you change it and not repair the damage?
