You got an oil cooler?

My 1.8 doesn't.. (at least I hope it doesn't.. or why haven't I spotted it yet? )

Do you mean the heat exchanger on the oil filter?

Yes Ralf, this is what I mean. I think your wording is more suited.

Ah.. pity really. I'm thinking of getting an oil cooler for mine (summer.. Italian motorways calling me.. etc.) I was hoping there was a '45 model that already had one so I could find some bits. Looks like I'll be having to buy one of those 20-row Mocal jobs then..

Jason: There is also an option of just running the car without the heat exchanger, some people have managed that way
See this thread for an example:

Mmmmm... interesting. That 13-row doodah is the one I was thinking about. Did you want to make some space in the garage?

Good lad. Do you have all the pipes and brackets (and sandwich plate?) it was fitted with too? Even if they're not in that great nick, I'll be able to use them as a guide to rig it up in the same way.

How much do you want for it?

Ta,

You can have em, includes sandwich plate, pipes with reusable unions, they are slightly corroded though but nothing major

Where are you again Ralf?
