Nice to meet you last weekend. We didn't see you at Castle Combe but spotted your GTV parked on the corner of the chicane on our way out. We were parked much further up round the track.
Just to let you know that I fitted the exhaust on Sunday and it sounds great
The extra noise did take a little while to get used to and I have to admit that it was quite a bit louder than I was expecting (maybe the bigger 2 litre engine along with the sound deadening tar matting removed from under my carpet in the rear footwells makes it louder than it was on your 1.6) but I guess that's just because I've been used to the fairly civilised sounding OEM system for so long. Was a bit worried the wife would start complaining but to my surprise she said she can live with the extra noise
I love the burble you get when caning it and then coming back of the throttle which sounds fantastic
Never got that with the OEM system. I'm glad that I've finally got a "proper" exhaust system on my car
I also couldn't believe how heavy the OEM system was compared to the Longlife one, so as well as maybe releasing a few more horses I've managed to shed a load of extra weight
Was a pleasure doing business with you and thanks again
